Your thesis or dissertation is often the most important single piece of work you’ll produce as a student (whether it be your final year undergraduate research project or your complete Masters / PhD thesis). These templates, many provided by the university themselves as official layout guidelines, include sections for you to add all the relevant author information (your university, department, supervisor, year, etc) along with placeholder chapters for your introduction, background, method, results, conclusion / discussion, references and appendices.
You will need to give consideration to issues of power and confidentiality. You should read any appropriate ethical guidelines and ask yourself how/whether you project follows these. [All research students at Oxford University are required (before they commence fieldwork) to complete the (CUREC) checklist and obtain permission to undertake any fieldwork].
The Cabot library, located on the first floor of the ScienceCenter, has a much larger collection of mathematics booksand journals that can be checked out.
The Oxford Internship Scheme, as our PGCE programme is known, involves a close partnership between the university department and local comprehensive schools. This enables all aspects of the course to be planned, carried out and evaluated jointly by university and school staff. This partnership results in a course which integrates work in the university and in school throughout the year.
